Same here. On my son's 16U team, the Protos have held up while the Trigger 8's, Hyperlites, and Ghosts have broken VERY quickly.

Im looking to replace my son’s cracked Bauer 2X Pro shinguards. I was wondering what is the best/ most protective model on the retail market? I see that the Hyperlite shinguards appear very similar however are much poorly rated. Thanks in advance for any assistance/guidance you can share !!!

Would you know what the stiffness rating of the 2X Pro is? Thanks!

What does the Quad really give you over a standard 9ft or 10ft radius?

That’s what I was hoping for. I’ve been using 9ft radius ls2 runners for over 15 years. Briefly tried 10ft radius ls5 runners last year and for me, there was definitely a transition period. I hope the quad profile feels closer to the ls2’s.

To anyone that has been using these skates with this new (for Bauer) profile: how different does it feel on the ice coming from a 10ft or 9ft runner radius? Thanks in advance for your replies!!
