    Finally after a couple of days being delayed by UPS I received my exchanged pair of Shift skates.. Originally I tried a size 9 (because my missions are a size 9) but they were too tight, tried on the 9.5s, and my toes are still up against the cap (whereas in my missions they ever so slightly brush up against it) Going to have them baked and wear the thinnest socks possible and try them out on sunday.. Hopefully They will be ok......

    I would go with a 9.0 -9.5 if I was you, I'm a 10.5 in some shoes and 11 in others and the 9.0 was too tight for me.. I had to sent them back and re-order a 9.5

    I figured I'd be a 9 in Alkali since I was a 9 in Mission, but not the case...ended up being a 9.5 in the Shifts.

    Damn....Wish I would have known that before I ordered, would have saved over $80 in shipping.

    Aside from them being a bit too small length wise, they felt pretty comfortable, and were lighter than I was expecting. I did like the increased forward pitch and have no doubt its gonna be a great skate for me once I have the proper size.

    Laced them up properly, still pushing up hard against the toe cap, very uncomfortable, gonna have to return them for a 9.5... Weird I figured for sure I'd be a 9 seeing as how my current mission Boss SE's are a 9 and fit perfectly length wise (toe feathering the cap).. Back when mission ran Shoe Size, my VSI's were a 10.5 and fit perfectly. I had a game last night and was really looking forward to skating in them..

    Just received the Shift's today... 1 business day shipping to Canada via UPS, not too shabby.... Debating on whether or not to keep them or send them back for a half size larger. My big toe is pushing up against the toe cap. seems a tad bit more than I'd like, may get uncomfortable. Would heat fitting/breaking in the skate help at all? it seems like its just a matter or a mm or two...

    Just pulled the trigger and ordered a pair of Alkali Shift skates! size 9 (same as my current mission Boss SE's) hopefully they fit. Excited to give these things a try and hoping I like them better than my all time favourite skates, the Old Mission Proto VSI's!

    You just sold me on ordering a pair of SHIFTS tomorrow.. I already have bones swiss bearings at home as well as the variant + wheel so i can't justify the extra 250 bucks for a MAG frame.

    Besides Justin has anyone else had the new MAX or Shift skates on their feet for a little test run yet? Im looking to pick up a new pair of skates soon and the Shift skates maybe it..

    Justin can you comment on the sizing of the skate? Do they fit street shoe size like the older missions? (ie proto vsi) or are they 1-1.5 sizes down like the current mission and bauer skates?

    I just mounted a Vanguard chassis on a size 10 Graf 703 skate. It came off of a pre 2009 mission boot, which ran shoe size. The mission boot was a size 10.5! I am not sure if its a medium or large vanguard chassis.
