Europe and Sweden was matched up pretty well. I think Sweden had a go at the win until, the way I see, Lundquist made a boo-boo by going behind the net and trying to fight for the puck. I do not think he made it back to be in position, before the game deciding puck was pocked in the net. I think if he had another half a second for the initial shot, he would have deflected the puck away from the goal.... But this is how the games are won and lost. Team Europe has definitely deserved the win here. Well played ! -
Really enjoyed the game. Lots of talent, lots of heart. Watching this is as if watching a Stanley Cup playoffs. Carrey Price started a bit unfocused, but had some good saves. Quick is at the top of his game and in my opinion is the reason USA took this win. Canada outshot USA by a factor of 2. Quick has seeing lots of action, and let in just one goal. Reminded me Tretyak in 76 summit series against Canada. Great deffence from Canada which basically left Carrey Price untested comparing to Quicks game. Awesome game in my opinion, two top teams for sure.

This was some game. Team Europe handed Team USA it ass. 3:0 and not for the lack of trying on part of USA. Team Europe was able to defend against Team USA quite effectively. Although Europe goalie Halak have not seeing a ridiculous amount of rubber, the 11 power play shots sent his way, we're successfully intercepted. Quick had a pretty good game, and all 3 pucks that he was unable to stop, were a result of exceptional plays put together by European team and were pretty much unstopable. I did sense a hint of team USA playing with a lot less heart than when they played Canada. So to me it was not just a case of team Europe stepping up their game, but also the case of team USA stepping theirs down. Team Europe, a team previously thought to be sub-par, has definitely shown that they can puck with the best of them.
