foot pain with graf 735's

Recommended Posts

ok ,at the start of the year i bought some graf 735's ,they have the t blade system. When i got home i noticed my foot supinated so i got the blade adjusted and moved out. My first ice time my feet were in SEVERE pain but i made it through most of the practise although ,by the end i was in so much pain i couldnt skate at all. I got the arch shaved down on the insole in my right skate because that one hurt the most and it was decent for maybe 2 skates but soon enough the pain came back and its been sore all year ,i got them punched out and that didnt do anything. Well ,now i dont feal like putting up with the pain because im getting very lazy because i dont wanna skate because of the pain. What could be the problem? i was thinking about getting vapour 20's or 30's ,with no t blades. Would the pain go away? Are the 735s just a bad fitting skate? Please help because i dont want to spend 600-700$ and still have foot pain.

First mistake you made was getting the blade ajusted, Graf has all kinds of problems with miss ajusted blades out the box...

Now maybe you just don't fit in the skates... You should go out there and try a couple of pairs, the two I found that are the best in terms of a nutral arch are the Vector Pros and the S500 Missions, go out there and try em...

IMO If you hurt in a 735, I would think you would hurt on a Bauer Vapor

Recently, my arches have been killing me in my 735's. I used to have Vapor XX's and they didn't hurt at all. Awesome skates when they aren't hurting. But I need to do something about it, because it hurts too much when I am practicing. I can't have that pain just to have performance skates, because it nullifies (sp?) the performance

The fact it doesn't hurt all the time is the interesting part. It is more likely some variable that is causing the problem as it should always hurt if it's the skate. Try haing the laces a bit more loose over the top of your foot.

I will try that out whenever I am next on the ice Chadd, since I seem to have the exact problem that Bruin is having. Bruin, when you go down on one knee does it go away? It does for me.
