I'm surprised there wasn't mention of it (unless I missed it)

I thought this was an excellent film and very moving, though really, really, realllly depressing.

Anybody else have any thoughts?

I saw this flick for the first time today. It was good, but like you said, it wasn't a feel-good movie.

I love Morgan Freeman and I'm not afraid to admit it. He can narrate his way out of a paper bag.

Yes. Freeman now has two functions in film.........he either plays a detective or is a narrator. Either way he is awesome.
