ladystorm3 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2005 1. Michigan State University.2. I have a lot of fun, but most of it isn't like what you see in movies. Sure, you can find the crazy parties and whatnot...but it gets real old (for most of us) after the freshmen year. 3. It isn't high school anymore, so don't worry too much about your image. Definately live away from home. It is a great experience. Dealing with roommates sucks, but you learn a lot. I've heard it is bad to live with close friends, and I think that has some merit. Don't go crazy just because you don't live with your parents anymore. Be independent and not immature. Good luck! are you on their hockey team?
zingbergeur 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 no, I'm not on the team, but I know some of the guys. I had a class with Jim Slater(drafted by Atlanta), Jared Nightengale, and Ash Goldie. I'm not quite up to CCHA standards :D

zingbergeur 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2005 There is only one real team and a club team which is pretty competitive as well. I've played pickup and intramural with some of the club players (both ice and roller). I just stick to intramural hockey these days.
Buzz_LightBeer 970 Report post Posted June 21, 2005 1- Minnesota State Mankato, Milwaukee Area Tech College2- Started in Engineering (sucked), trasfered to Fire Science, recent grad3- Keep a few things in mind: -If you room with your friend he/she will not be your friend by the end of the year -Whether youre paying attention or not, show up to class, even the 800 am friday morning ones -Schedule as few night classes as possible, as much as sleeping in sounds fun, its worse to miss out on the night cuz youre in class -Dont worry about image, college people are far less judgemental than high schoolers -go to school close enough to home where you can come home if needed, but far enough away so youre parents dont make a surprise visit. Norm 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2005 1. the ohio state university. Same here, My god, how many buckeyes are on this board. Guilty. Born in Columbus (mom swears she could see the horseshoe from her maternity room), raised in Hudson (around Akron) and Fremont (east of Toledo). Luckily, however, I bleed Maize and Blue. GO BLUE!!!! hockeynut 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2005 1) University of MN2) College is lots of fun, but you only get out of it what you put into it3) Be sure to get out and meet lots of people. This will probably be the only time in your life when you're surrounded by so many people from so many different backgrounds. Use your time in college to get to know them, you'll definitely appreciate it later when you graduate and start working with people who are mostly like you. :D
