Itech Catcher & Blocker?

Recommended Posts

Well its says it all can anyone tell me if the Itech Catcher and blockers are good? Specifically the 4.8 Vamp Catcher and the 6.8 Blocker. I have started to play in-house for lower leagues cause they need goalies and was wondering if those are a good blocker & Catcher for it?

If you're going to look into the 4.8's, don't get the Vamp. Go with the '05 X-Factor, it is worlds ahead of the Vamp. You will spend a negligable amount of money for much better quality and performance.

Unless you want them to match, go with the 6.8 blocker. A step above the 4.8's. Have you looked at the 6.8 catcher?

You really should check into the DR 5.2 or 6.2 goal gear if you're looking for good stuff on a budget. The Itech stuff isn't bad but it's more expensive.

I just started playing goal (roller for now) for fun and went with the DR 6.2 leg pads and 2005 Mission Motion blocker and catcher. I'm happy with all three items. The only problem so far with the DR 6.2 leg pads are that the leg stacks are hard as hell. I bruised my inner knees butterflying. But I bought some volleyball knee pads and haven't had bruises since. The Mission catcher is taking a little while to break in, but it should be fine once it does.

They lace in on the 6.2, right? I asked them about making softer ones available.

Yeah, the good thing about the 6.2's are that the three knee stacks and thigh boards are all laced in and can be adjusted. On a side note, I wish I could see what the 6.2 catcher, blocker, and pants are like in person!

There are no 6.2 pants this year. They only have the 5.2 and 8.2 in the import series. My part time guy and one of the guys that work at the rink both ordered the 6.2 blocker, glove and legs. Both of them also have the 8.2 chest and arm.

I asked if they were going to make additional stacks available so you could lace in a bunch of the thinner ones to make up for the one being so thick and hard.
