vivaotravez12 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 I've had my eye set on a stock and have been wanting to buy about $1000 worth. I keep putting it off and putting it off, but after an almost 50% increase in two business days, I can't wait any longer. Who can you reccommend that is reliable, minimum fees, and for the average joe who doesn't have $10,000 for a minimum portfolio, ect. I'm looking to start off with this one stock, and eventually transfer most of my assets to MIITS form. I would like a nationally recognized broker that may have a local office that I can go to in person. Anyone who has dealt with a reliable broker, please share, open to suggestions and looking for the one. Thanks for the help.P.S.If you are curious as to the stock, PM and I'll tell you the name, just the name, and won't suggest to buy or not buy or provide any opinion as to or not to invest in the market....in other words, don't hold me accountable for any ass hole decision you make... :D
Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Are you looking for the broker to provide advice, or do you just need them to transact trades for you?
vivaotravez12 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Right now for this one stock, just to conduct the trades. I looked into sharebuilder.com, but they have guidelines as to what stocks they will trade...and the stock I am interested in is not there....it's quoted on OTC-BB. Down the line, I would need advice, which is why I hope to find one with a local office for when the time is right...advice on leads, but mostly the tax information. LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 I have a broker that does most of my investing, but he has a minimum as well.If it's just this one stock and you've already done a good amount of research on it, then just open an online account (like ameritrade) and trade when you want to. zingbergeur 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 My dad was a financial planner before retiring, and he uses www.brownco.com. I don't know anything about the fees, but they seem to be safe/reliable.
