So his suspension would carry over then and count this year?

He was suspended by the AHL for the year and couldn't play there. The IIHF did not choose to honor that suspension and he was permitted to play in Russia last year. That differs from Bertuzzi's case where the IIHF chose to honor the NHL suspension. I believe the technical reason given was that the AHL is not a partner of the IIHF.

The argument to that would be Moores degree opens up paths for his future, where you are cutting off Bertuzzi's finances all together.
