twistedwrister 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 I was looking forward to maybe buying an sl or something until I heard that they changed the intermediate flex to 65. I used an Xn10 before and was comfortable with an intermediate. Anyways, I'm about 5'3'' or 4 and about 110 pounds, and Im wondering whether it's better to get an 85 flex and cut it down or use the 65 flex. I realize it has a lot to do with preference, so I'm wondering if Easton sticks are stiffer than they say they are or something. Thanks in advance.
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 65 should be close to TPS Int.

Megamandan 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 Cutting an 85 down that much would make it harder to flex anyways. The easton scale says 65 but is still really about the same as the old 75.
AtlantaThrashers01 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 actually i had a response plus intermediate and i think that the eastons 65 flex feels stiffer then the intermediate TPS.....the inter TPS is really whippy and if ur looking for a slight stiffer stick then the eastons good for u
sherwood21 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 The easton 65 is more or less a 75, the TPS Int. is a true 60 (for me without plugs). I'm quite a bit bigger than you and use an Int. TPS/Easton and if you like whippier sticks then you are gold
Overtime 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2005 plus the 85 shafts size will be bigger, also depending on how long you like your sticks you might even need to cut the int down that should stiffen the shaft.
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted August 4, 2005 given the variation in eastons flexes, you could get something from 65 to 140. Go flex a few and find one that feels like a 75.
