scubafrogman 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Yeah I agree Ogie. Both M-1's that I have owned (Rafalski retail, and a pro-stock) were the same way. Although I can't really bend that blade very much, I can feel it opening on a slapshot. I love my Rafalski M-1 85 flex sticks. But I'm a "C" league player that doesn't take slapshots. Mostly wrist shots. How do you tell the difference between the retail and pro-stock? Sorry for the dumb question but I'm fairly new at this. Thanks!
Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Mine actually says PRO STOCK on it (saying no warrantee), the plug says PRO STOCK, the flex is actually a 90, the curve is a viscious toe curve (check out the pix) and, despite his small frame, the stick is very, very, very long (comes up to my nose without a plug - and I'm 6ft 1). #96 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 That's cool. Well now you have an M2 shaft! I loved mine. One of the best shafts I have ever used.
Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Perhaps.... but I wouldn't have dropped $110 on an M2 shaft.... :-(Although, I do have a nice, novelty blade now with a real mean toe curve....(I did call Peranis, where I bought it, and ask if there was anything they could do about it to help me out (I wanted a composite stick - not a dressed up shaft with wood blade) but he just laughed (in a nice way, not mean or anything) and pretty much said that's the deal with pro-stock - made to players specs, so what you "see" is what you get). cobrAA 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 interesting...for all this time...you thought this blade was composite(feel and flex weight etc..) and it was a one piece...So maybe some time...thing are just mental...like you paint 2 stick black and tell the difference...when you can't even know! a 2 piece wood and a 1 piece comp...! Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 interesting...for all this time...you thought this blade was composite(feel and flex weight etc..) and it was a one piece...So maybe some time...thing are just mental...like you paint 2 stick black and tell the difference...when you can't even know! a 2 piece wood and a 1 piece comp...! It was painted that way, but didn't perform that way. I'd been complaining about the blade being too soft and opening up far too much during slapshots during warm ups. Tried at 3 different times and didn't like it and never used it in a game. I finally just decided to take the blade out and what do you know? Turns out it was just a publicity type stick that Rafalski no doubt used (several of them perhaps) but wasn't what I had wanted (a real fully composite OPS). cobrAA 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 kk it was just my 2 cents..hope you didn't take it personnal lolmy fact was more that sometime just 2 stick black-out and try to see which one is different can be ''mismatched'' i know that the blade were too soft...but performance and think like this...anyways!
