Penguins sign Palffy

Morozov just sucks. If he's not with Mario, he's nothing. Look at how good he was on Marios line, then Mario goes down and boom, Mozo's on the third line an suckin it up. I hope he goes elsewhere. Waste of a draft pick back then. I'm not so sure about gettin T-Bo either. I guess he's the only goalie who has a semi-veteran status that the Pens could still get for what they could, to help MAF and the rest of the young goalies. Even though... Chicago.. eww.

And, it DOES NOT matter that the contracts are longer than the lease on the arena. The Pens arn't going anywhere, get over it Chadd and the rest of you boys. You can spew all the number crunching and attendance, tax, slots, and fanbase garbage forth from your mouth, but the city is once again hockey crazy right now with all the stuff that's happening, and the team will not be leaving, and will have a new place to play. But I guess you'd have to live here to know that, which you don't .

I wouldn't count on keeping the team for long. The state isn't going to give them a building and they aren't getting the slot machine license. Enjoy it now. I spoke with some friends out there earlier this week and they're all geeked up about the Steelers training camp. Yes there will be more fans than last year, no they won't be there at the end of the season. All those facts get distracting so I'll just stick with sweeping generalizations like you from now on.

i mean mario plays for next to nothing

Don't count on it this year. Unless of course he gets a major pay raise as the managing partner and a small salary as a player. In that case, expect at least one other owner to file a complaint.

Perreault would fit into the defensive center role very well. They need a guy who can come in an win a key faceoff and kill penalties.

I agree on Perreault, but I think which one they would go after will depend on what happens with Malkin. As far as Marchment goes, I'd rather see Pittsburgh add a solid stay at home defensman as opposed to a cheap shot artsist.

I would be happy if everyone passed on Marchment.

I've seen Perrault win a ton of face-offs, but very few were "Key." He took alot of them for the Leafs in his stint, but kept losing them, so they finally put Sundin in his place for them. Other than that, he is a good all-round type player. I've always liked him since his stints in St. John's, him and Brandon Convery (don't ask why).

Marchments junk, I don't recall a cheapshot he attempted last year on the Leafs, but that could easily be because he was too slow to catch up.

WOW ADD JOHNNY LECLAIR...... this could be a huge pickup, although im scared because I dont think CP would have signed him if he thought he would be able to bring Malkin over...anyways if Leclair is healthy, he can easily score 30 goals this year.

maybe in the new NHL, but the Pens really could use a solid 2-way centerman for the third line like Perreault, and also a defensive defensemen... Gonchar, Jackman, Tarnstrom... are all good offensive defensemen, but defensively....they might need some work...
