Mission L5 hockey pants

hey, i need a new pair of pants because the team im playing for wears blue and i have black. also i have outgrown my black pair. so im looking for input about the L5. how is the duribility? is it very protective? and is there anythign else i should know? thanks

I've sold a bunch of them this year and no complaints yet. It's very similar to the M1 from last year but at a lower price point. I really like the ventilation in the front, it's much cooler than some of the pants that are solid nylon in those areas.

I just picked up a pair of the L5s. Overall they seem good, but one thing I've noticed is that the lower hip pad seems to be facing more forward (vs. directly to the side) than I would expect, therefore leaving a bigger gap between the the tailbone pad and the hip pad. Essentially, it's leaving the back half of my lower hip/leg unpadded.

I don't think it's a matter of size, because if I went to a smaller pant, I would think the problem would be even more apparent.

Has anyone else with these (or the other Mission pants) noticed this? If so has it been an issue? I'm in adult no-check, but when you fall as much as I do, you need all the protection available!
