Its due more to the skate itself. The way vince explained it to me is this. Say in any other skate there is an outsole around the outside of the inner skate. This can torque a bit and not let you turn as quickly n as close to the ice as you want to. With the Kor Shift 1's there is no outsole or insole its just a one piece composite boot allowing you to turn much sharper and lean alot closer to the ice with minimal or no torquing of the boot.

I remember reading it back when the first reports came out a year or so ago and I thought it was BS. It's impossible to describe how well you can turn at speed in them.

I can echo Chadd's comment. I have owned a pair for a month and the ability to turn is incredible, and you can turn with complete control. I have not minded the Pitch holder because I previously skated in Missions and was already used to the holder. The comfort is nice too. You really feel balanced in the skates.

Damn the way you guys think...make me wonder why i didn't look at Kor...it look like a really nice feature....but anyone tried the Synergy...synergy are suppose to be 1 piece composite too no??

By the way, it seem like a really nice feature and give you a better advantage than any other skat ein the market !
