Free tickets to HOF Legends Classic Tour

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We're one of the sponsors of the Hockey Hall of Fame's Legends Classic Tour. It's a 5-game tour pitting Canadian Hall of Famers/Stars against Russian Hall of Famers/Stars. The games are in Winnipeg (Nov 2 at MTS Centre), Edmonton (Nov 4 at Rexall Place), Toronto (Nov 6 at Air Canada Centre, Nov 7 HOF Induction) Calgary (Nov 9 at Pengrowth Saddledome) and Vancouver (Nov 10 at PNE Coliseum).

We have tickets to the games that I'm offering on a First Come, First Served basis, with the one caveat that Salming Canada may have already earmarked some tickets for retailers. We have General Admission tickets available for anyone. We also have VIP seating which we're reserving for LHS owners or managers, so if you could forward this information to shop owners you know in the relevant areas, I'd appreciate it.

We also have tickets to the Post-Game Reception where you can mingle with the players afterward. These will also be reserved for retailers EXCEPT we could use help in booths we'll have set up. This will entail explaining and/or selling our products as well as a few other participating companies.

If anyone is interested, please email me at legends@salmingusa.com rather than PM, since I sometimes haven't cleaned up my Inbox. I'll keep everyone in order of First Come, First Served, but I might not be able to confirm availability until after speaking with Mark County of Salming Canada.

PS There is a small possibility that I'll have the jerseys worn by the teams available at reasonable prices, but we're short on lead time. Let me know if you have any interest and I'll see what's possible. (Team purchases might be easier to pull off.)

I had a couple of emails with questions, so I'll answer them here.

The tickets are free. If you want to just sit back and enjoy the festivities, just let me know and I'll set aside a pair if I still have some. The entire show is fun to watch, because it includes other entertainment: figure skates, singers, etc.

Regarding the booth, we'll have about a 10' x 10' booth on the concourse from which we can sell products. I don't think there will be a lot of sales. Mostly, I'm hoping to increase awareness for my products, as well as a few others you've seen me mention -- Oggie Grip, PuckSkin, Funk Free or Hockey Puck Gum. We just need one or two people to help.

However, you won't be able to see as much of the game -- maybe not at all, depending how busy it is -- so my incentive is to offer you tickets to the Post-Game Reception where you can meet the players.

Last, no PM's! I'm gonna run out of space! Please email me at legends@salmingusa.com.

Good luck with that. Usually I'd be interested but I have a Strata Council meeting that night and I'm the Pres so tough to blow it off.

Good luck,

JJ

What's Strata Council?

I think that it is for either a condo or other building. The members ensure that the building is running properly.

Yeah, that's about it. It's like an owners association for your condo or in my case a townhouse complex. Owners pay monthly Strata fees and the Strata Council manages it on behalf of the owners by planning maintenance and hiring contractors for work on common and exterior areas.

We visited friends last weekend that live about half-an-hour north of Aspen.

She started a landscaping business a few years ago, and what she's done to the property is AMAZING. Two of the trees they've planted on the side of the house have grown about ten feet since they've planeted, so they're starting to peak a little over the roof of the house. Last year, a guy bought the house across the street and, even though, my friends' house blocks his view of Mount Sopris, he was bummed because he'd have about two feet more view if the trees weren't there.

The neighbor ran for Home Association President and proposed a new rule on the first night of his presidency that any trees that block someone's view must be torn down. My friend said he didn't say a word, but everybody stood up to say, "Well, who's to say what a view is? I don't want you cutting down my trees because you want a better view of...." It didn't pass.

So, as my friend said, the guy ran for the presidency specifically to get the trees cut down, and now he had 364 more days to figure what he was going to do with his time.

Hey, we still have tickets left for some of the games if anyone else is interested. Also, I'm not in charge of the booths, but I think we could use help at some of the games; if anyone is willing to help, they'd receive tickets to the after game reception with the players.

Last, I believe we have sufficient quantity for anyone who sent an email to me earlier (legends@salmingusa.com).
