rivets

hi,i was just wondering,does anybody know why they use brass on the back of the chassis instead of rivets to attach it to the boot?

I think cause the copper ones which I don’t know if there even rivets are longer and then the washer kind of thing is put on and the extra copper is cut off.

Copper holds up better in the heel.
