Skate Riviting

Hi guys, can you give me information on how the best way to install the copper rivets using a riviter?

Didn't you get ANY instructions with your equipment???

Anyway...

1. Put the rivet thru from the inside.

2. Slip the copper ring over the end

3. put skate in machine with head of rivet resting on the flat tool

4. Pull handle till rivet seats

5. Remove skate

6. Clip off excess rivet leaving about 1/16 inch

7. Put skate back in machine

8. Pull lever and hold top die on rivet

9. Take wooden hammer and pound top of machine head with it a couple of times.

That's it. Technique may vary due to brand of machine. I use a Blademaster.

Hi Jimmy, the machine ive got is the battco 600.

I got basic instructions with the machine, but no mention of clipping the excess off the rivit!

I thought that was the case, but didnt want to try incase it done some damage.
