Nike 1 Quest inline skates w/rocker frame

Recommended Posts

I've used a pair for the past season and a half. I've been using the rocker for about 5 years now and skating with the rocker feels more like skating on ice. My old pair (that I still use outdoors) was a Bauer Vapor 6 - the Nike Quest Skates are lighter than those as the rocker is composite on the Quests and aluminum on the old Vapor 6's. Overall I like the skates. I'm also used to the rocker now and I find it makes it easier to switch between ice and roller and I think the Nike Quest 1's are one of the last models to use that chassis.

thanks alot for your feedback. Does the boot give you good ankle support and does it affect the way you stop. I am currently using hi-lows(ccm externo's-maverick) and have a very easy time stopping and turning.

The ankle support is fine - the boot comes up very high in the back. I don't have problems turning or stopping, but I'm used to the rocker. Before using the rocker I had an old school straight chassis with 4 76mm wheels...I've never actually used a high lo setup other than trying a few pairs on at a sports store and skating around the store so I can't really compare the two. I'd say the quality of the wheels effect the stopping ability more than the chassis itself - if you end up needing more grip, stick on some better indoor wheels. The wheels the Nike's come with are OK, but you can get better ones if you feel you need them after trying the skates out.
