RBK Helmet Problem

Recommended Posts

My RBK helmet is killing me. The hard foam on the sides seems to be giving me a headache everytime I play. I was using a visor before and it wasn't that bad. Recently I switched to a cage and it seems the sides are pinching my head more. Does anybody know how I can flatten the hard foam on the side of the helmet? Anyway to punch it out?

Chances are the visor was pulling it out a bit and the cage isn't. Short of shaving some of the foam down in the area of the pain, I'm not sure there is a solution for you.

It's the side part of the helmet. I've adjusted it to the biggest position possible. I guess I can try shaving off the foam a little but that seems pretty hard. I was wondering if I can punch it out somehow.

(I had the same problem, I took foam from my Bauer 5000 Helmet and put it there, and it is alot more comfortable. If you have an old helmet take out some foam and glue it in.

Shaving the foam down is safer and easier than any type of stretching.

Thanks for all the tips. I removed the soft foam on the helmet and started to shave the hard foam. It was pretty easy amazingly. After shaving it off, I clued the soft foam back on. It feels awesome now.

i had a problem where the sides of the cage was pressing in on the side of hte helmet, and in turn pressing in on the sides of my head, it hurt. i had to "reshape" the metal cage, widening it a bit, and it was better.

That's what I wanted to say in my post but I had not the word.
