Rubber off palms

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of any way of getting the rubber residue off your palms, specifically clarino, besides getting new palms...? Also, if anyone knows if the rubber sticks less to any one material of palm than another, throw that out here too...

I got most of mine off my gloves. I went to the local store and picked up one of those back scrubbing brushes'(the kind you use in the shower). I'm sure any type of brush with thick bristles will work. Anyhow, I grabbed some Tide and headed to the bathroom tub. I got the brush wet, along with the gloves and placed some tide on the palm of the glove. I also put tide on the end of the brush, after that I started scrubbing away. I ended up getting the majority of it off. Now, depending on the type of palm you have. It could wear out it down quite a bit.

I used to only use Rubber shafts, untill I got my Synthesis. They totally destroy your palms. Believe me youare much better off getting new gloves or repalming your current ones.

Re-palming your gloves will cost a good portion of a new glove anyway, so it indeed be better to purchase a new pair. Had the same problem with the Rubber Response. But, I did find that some of the "Rubber" residue transferred to the new tape on the shaft every time my gloves moved over the tape.

Wierd thig is, its my right palm that has more rubber on it, and I'm a lefty, so you figure it out. I always play with a tape knob on teh end, so my right palm pretty much never comes into that much contact with the rubber, yet somehow it has much more rubber than the left palm...

And I know repalming thme would cost a lot, especially since the 852's were $85 to begin with (Epuck, great price for good gloves...), but if I got the gloves I wanted, ie custom nylon HGT's, they would run me $140 plus shipping, so I'll suffice to fix up my CCM's for now...

yah, I get that problem with the rubber on my palms. I'm thinking of getting the yellow version but I dunno if the same stuff happens. Either way, you're stuck with black crap on the palms and there's not much you can do about it so just leave it.
