What size red star chassis would I need for a pair of 8.5 mission pureflys?

A small...fits skate size 6-8.5...which Red Star Chassis are you getting? there is a sizing chart on hockeymonkey.com under the chassis/blade holder section

I was hoping to get the red star alloy. So a medium would be too big?

Yea a medium would be to big probubly...on paper the medium fits a size 9-9.5 skate a large fits 10 and up and a small fits 6-8.5...now this is all on paper...I wear a size 6.5-7 skate and the small fits my skate nicely...so you could try a medium on your 8.5 and the hockey shop you get it put on at could more than likely fit it properly...Im guessing your trying to get the Red Star Alloy in the sales section here?...For that deal on the chassis I would get it and try it for sure...I think you could get the medium to fit well...I looked at my small chassis again and think you will have room for a medium..

Yeah I was hoping to get the one in the sale section. I guess I can try if not im out $40.

Fit's nicely.

According to the chart on hockeymonkey, a size 4 (small) would be fine, however I and my friend who owns a LHS found them to be slightly too small.

Go with the Mediums, you won't be dissapointed.

&...don't forget to threadlock the axels B4 You skate on them...everyone I know including Myself included love their chassis(almost as much as My new Humer) but everyone I know who uses them has lost an axel one time or another w/o threadlock on it... :D

Yes Lets see some pics of the Red Star Alloy mounted on some skates especially those 8K's...?..Red Star discountinued this chassis and I asume all chassis in general which is a shame..cause in my opinion they are the best and strongest chassis out there....

So your 7.5 reeboks are equivalent to a 9 mission skate. It looks like their would be room on an 8.5 for the medium redstar. Whats the difference in actual size like mm or cm between an 8.5 and 9 mission anyone know. Justin?
