Jordan Staal was the most over-rated player in the draft. Everyone who has seen him play or played against him said that he's a joke.

Funny story here....I played with Pat Kane, a 5th round selection when I was in Squirts, Peewees, and Bantams. This past year (I live in Buffalo) he was selected to the national camp as a NY State representative and didnt show. Next, he made the Buffalo Saints team which this yr. won nationals which has some kids im good friends with on it that are also drafted. He signed, paid X amount of dollars, then his father pulled him off the team because of Y reasons (I heard because he was not playing first line + double shifting). He signs with Detroit and tears it up at Nationals but doesnt get the championship....15 pts or something in the tourney...good but cocky player...by the way, his dad owns a car dealership in the Buffalo area, thus how he pays for this

May be true, but remember, a team will not draft him 3rd overall if they don't think he'll make it and also, bloodlines play a big role.

Yah at the silverstick there was like 20 scouts from the ohl and he got a hat trick.

He gets like 2 goals a game most of the time. Truly amazing.

I'd think so. It's not like Cheechoo's a common name. There were a few guys who I saw who had NHL player last names...like Verbeek's kid.

Actually, Johnathon said there are hundreds of cheechoos in moose factory (where hes from). he may be related.
