I think he'll have a tough sell. There's been a few guys who had strong runs with the Leafs, which were left off. I'm thinking McCabe, but both Nolan and Niewy were left off the team once they were Leafs as well. Anyone else notice a stronger Coyote presence than usual? Doan I expect, Morris was a bit of a surprise, CuJo almost made me piss myself.

How could Brodeur not be the #1 Goalie? I understand Luongo. Theodore would be my #3.

I was surprised by the naming of Chouindard, Bouchard, Walz and Mike Ryder.

I think Spezza and Heatley will stay together. Bergeron and Murray? And if they can keep it up, Kariya and Sullivan.

Morrison and Bertuzzi will stick as well. I think it's time Morrison got to suit up for our country.

Gagne is in, and I can definitely see Crosby in there if he can keep up his play. Vinny, B. Richards, Thornton, Smyth, Marleau, Nash, Sakic and Iggy are sure bets I think. Briere with a good chance. And I've already picked too many forwards.

Bubble: Mike Richards, Eric Staal, Recchi, Morrow, Tanguay & St. Louis (if they keep playing like they are - but I find it hard to believe that St. Louis won't turn it up soon - he was made for this new NHL).

D: Prongs, Redden, Jackman, Niedermayer, McCabe, Jovanovski. Blake and Foote on the outside looking in. Give me Foote as my 7th.

Mario's time has passed. And as much as I love him, Stevie Y is probably at the end of the road too.

I dont think Jackman or Phaneuf will make the team. I think theres no doubt Brodeur will be the #1 goalie unless he plays really bad form now till they make the picks. What about Foote and Scott Niedemayer?

I don't think Crosby or Mario should be on the team. Crosby is too young but should be excellent in VanCity in 2010. Mario is too old and can't play too the standards of all the young guns. Bertuzzi should be on it for sure though, who else is going to stand in front of the net on the PP? Luongo should be the number one tendy as Brodeur is slowing leaving his prime years.

-Lemieux...you have no choice to use lemieux it ls like yzerman...it been there for soo long...and remember in 2002 he did freaking well...

i would take off draper and sulivan fur sure...now, i think tanguay never played for team canada and he is a really nice guys...maybe he should deserve his place on the 4th lines...

for goalie:luongo and brodeur for sure

defence: phaneuf should go there...well let try him to see how he play with the greatest( he do well in the NHL) but what about International hockey...

...its luongo's time. brodeur has been good in the past as expected, but in my eyes luongo has surpassed him. the amount of shots he stops is just insane. calm and cool; technically sound. play the kid.

....good combo of speed/size/experience. unless blake turns it around, pheneuf is in. that kid has been calgary's #1 d by far this season. he can hit and shoot macinnis like rockets at times. i like throwing kids into the big show.

Simply, this is the team I'd go with, I hate Niedermayer and Foote because they are terrible and overrated. Brodeur with his 3.5 GAA and .883 save % would not be my starter. I forgot Richards on my team, I'd like to have him in there too. That was my team, who I think will be there?

I think shane doan will make the team over sullivan and gretz loves shane doan so that helps him. Mcabe isnt a good enough skater so maybe Jay Bouwmeester instead? Yzerman shouldnt be but he will be in there somewhere

i dont think bertuzzi deserves it. you cant look at a guys name and decide if he is on the team. i think these teams need to be made up of guys who are producing as of lately. you cant have guys like mario and yzerman who arent doing a damn thing on your team. theres plenty of leadership in the guys who are on top of their game now. you dont want guys who are slumping and have little confidence representing your country. plus these guys are 40 years old, they are gonna look like fools if they try to compete with the worlds best, now 4 or 5 years ago, these would be my 2 stars, but face it..... their time is up. nothing agianst these 2, they are 2 of the best (if not the best) of all time. i can see one of them making it though.

every team needs guys like draper. so he should stay. maybe bertuzzi could make it as a 4th line grinder, thats it.

sullivan is hot right now, and he had an awesome season last year. but he is quiet, you dont really hear about him. he had 25 goals, 50 assists and 75 points last season and hes on track to doing it again. theres leadership in him.

being a nice guy doesnt mean youre going to make the team. but in this case, tanguay deserves to be on the team. hes proven himself and he should get a shot.

the goalies, i would let luongo, brodeur, belfour, theodore, joesph battle it out in exhibition, top 3 go.

in my opinion, i would say that bryan mccabe is the best 2 way dman in the game.

Are you saying that Bertuzzi just didn't regain his form a couple games ago and notch 3 points? The man is a beasterizer. He WILL shake off the rust completely and he WILL be on the team.

I'm tried of people idolizing Regehr IMO he's a stay at home d with no offensive talent and looks slow on the big ice. Also why should Yzerman make the team I mean every sportscaster in the country always talks about the leadership he brings but Canada will have at least 8-10 captains and 10+ alternate captains from their respective teams. Yzerman certainly wouldn't hurt Canada but he think he'd help the team more as an assistant coach I'd much rather see someone who slips under the radar like Sullivan on the team.
