warrior37 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2005 November 10, 1975...30 years ago tonight, actually about an hour ago she went down in the icey waters of lake superior. all 29 men on the ship lost their lives and im pretty sure no one was ever recovered from the ship. i just wanted to let everyone know. last year did a nice report on the mariners church in detroit where the rev ingalls prayed and rang the bell 29 times for the wreck, i got to meet him and his son and hear the bell ring. also this summer i was lucky enough to catch gordon lightfoot at the fox theater downtown detroit, the place errupted when he sang his famous ballad "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" i guess one of the guys on the ship his mother was there. like i said though i just felt like sharing a piece of history and if anyone wants the mp3 PM me, thanks guys Mike
