Welcome, always good to see newcomers! Well, sorry but you can't have an animated avatar, even though that's pretty sharp. As for the posting atmosphere I'd say it's a pretty friendly place.

The vast majority of our members are pretty good but we are a bit more strict on avatar and signature rules than some other sites. Click on "Rules" at the top of the screen for more info on that.

If you've ever visited a site that allows animated avatars and doesn't have rules for graphics and signatures you'd understand really quickly how much that stuff distracts from the information contained in the posts.

It's not really hard to "break in". Just post intelligently and don't be a prick towards other members when it's not necessary.

I didn't find it hard to break through. I find most people treat me with respect, even though i post a million questions a day, and I am sure its getting on people nerves.

Oh i know man, i don't think anyone could post if their were animated avatars. I mean damn my eyes just go right to animated avatars when i see a post with them. LOL. They don't distract unless you let them.

This forum is great, the guys are very helpful, I have so many questions and the majority of them get answered and no one critizes you for having stupid questions.

There aren't really any stupid questions. Just make an effort in trying to find the answer yourself first by using the search/pattern DB/flex chart.
