Elbow pads?

Recommended Posts

I've got a gift card to use at Dick's Sporting Goods. I'm thinking of getting new elbow pads because I've never liked the ones I have. Any suggestions? Unfortunately I have to shop online, since the Dick's stores around here don't carry hockey equipment. It's tough to pick out elbow pads online .

I thought this pair from Reebok looked pretty good. I like having some upper arm protection.

If you are looking for something with more protection for the upper arm go with the RBK 5k on the Dick's website. If you are looking for a basic, light weight elbow pad the 3k is not bad, but it has very little upper arm protection

Well, I don't need a LOT of protection .. just a little. It might be sufficient.

Anyone know anything about this one? I tend to be leery about Nike hockey stuff.

I have the Nike V-14 Elbow pads and have been very happy with them. I've read that others like their V-10 and V-12 elbow pads, however the pads you linked to are the low end Nike V-7 pads. I really don't know how good they are as I don't know anyone that has those and haven't seen any recommendations for them. You're probably better off spending a bit more and looking for a V-10 or higher pad if you're interested in the Nike pads.

Yeah, if it's possible I'd like to find something halfway decent in the $20-$25 range. I'll check out the M-2. Am I correct in assuming that's a Mission product? I've got a pair of Hespelers right now. I despise them and have from day one.

If theres no limit, get the 5k.

Hmmm ... just looked at the M2. It doesn't look like a pair I'd like that much. It's hard to tell without holding them, though. The only place to buy hockey stuff around here is Play it Again Sports, but their prices on new stuff aren't very good. Maybe I'll just go there to "shop" and then buy at Dick's with my gift card.

I got a pair of the jofa,s that were just like those 3ks a few years back and I love them. I used to have some old Winwells that were big heavy and hard to move. My jofas are a big step up.

I was dissapointed with my 5Ks,I got them in March and they are just sitting in my closet untouched, they were extremely uncomfortable with barely any padding on the insides.I currently use Nike V10s. I would go with the V7 they dont look that bad at all.

What size are the 5Ks and how much do you want?
