Its pretty deceptive. It seems like McCabe has way more points than Kaberle simply because he scores so many more goals. Kaberle has what, 5 goals this year? He really needs to shoot more, and hopefully that will happen now that he isn't paired with McCabe.

He is top 25 in Shooting among D in the NHL and 7th on the Team. He shoots more than people give him credit for.

I didn't realize that, but how often does he shoot on the PP? Thats the most obvious example that sticks out in my mind. It seems like every time he gets it he either passes immediately to McCabe for a one-timer, or down low to Sundin or whoever is on the halfboards.

I think i t just seems that way because Kaberle is always the control point on the powerplay. He just has the puck so much and I find whenever he gets a pass on the powerplay, it is because whoever had it couldn't make a play. Whenever I watch Kaberle only tends to shoot on a rush, or when he goes to the slot.

There is a difference in who I would pick and who I think will win. Honestly, I don't believe McCabe will win but he would be my choice at this point.

I held it in for a little while and think McCabe gets the nod as the more "Norris" type player, but I don't think McCabe is the better D. I left out my Anti-Niedermayer rant today, though.
