ktnumber13 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 HeyI think im guna get some new skates (my pf8s are wrecked n evn tho ther still under warrenty i dont think i want any new ones). In england we got like no selection of good skates anywhere so im buying from the net.Basically im looking at either the Nike Hiho Silver II or the Mission 9500.I like stiff skates(absolulty hate having no ankle support) and i tend to go thru skates within a season (dont know how but its a particular talent of mine)i was wondering if people had opinions on which skates would be better for the money(nikes bein $250 and missions $350). also is the 9500 worth the $100 more it is from the 7500??ThankxAlso i did swear off mission skates having had a run of about 4pairs breaking, and then refusing to even wear the D2s they were so soft and rubbish, but from what iv read missions new skates do seem to be all that. stock07 1 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 The new Missions are great....If you like stiff skates then Id defiantly go with the Missions....I have 7500's and they are really really stiff, its a great skate and defiantly well worth the money....Ive heard the 9500's are stiffer?...But Mission skates this year will defianatly be worth your money... Sassmasta 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 I have the 9500. I got my first pair back in june as a warranty replacement for my HE950's. I loved em, except they were a size too big for my feet and I feared breaking an ankle. I sold em to one of my friends and took the money i made off of the skates and some extra christmas cash and bought the right size skates. I bought the 9500's and I love em...I could have got hte 10000 but I didnt think that they were worth it. The boots between the two are extremely similar, and I dont think that the wheels bearings and chassis are worth the extra $150. I would suggest getting the 9500 over the 7500 but I dont realy know if you can go wrong with either. Hope I was a help to you.
CSW1618 5 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 i also have the 9500s.. i also had the hi hos.. not the 2s but the hi hos.. i felt that my hi hos broke down very quick and were weak around the ankles. The new missions you cant go wrong this year.. i personally thought even breaking in my 9500s (without baking the skates) were still rediculously comfortable. The stiffness is amazing this year in the missions and i **HIGHLY** doubt your gonna get any eyelet problems.. but hey im just a mission guy.. ive been on them since the age of 7 or 8 :D

ktnumber13 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 thanks guys!think im definitly gonna wait a month or so and get the extra $100 for the missions then! i always was a mission girl, but since i had so many issues with them, mostly the outsole or whatever it is separating and the D2s bein so horrible iv had to go elsewhere. but i do like the look of the missions and if there as stiff as people say thats great!ta
gongshow4sure 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 The shop i work at carries the new missions, they are amazing! The differences between the 9500 and the 7500 are not huge, but definitely noticable, I'd go 9500's for sure, They are amazing skates
JSchultz 25 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 The shop i work at carries the new missions, they are amazing! The differences between the 9500 and the 7500 are not huge, but definitely noticable, I'd go 9500's for sure, They are amazing skates I will attest to the 9500's as well. Super stiff. So stiff, you'll wonder how they did it,And there are numerous better things on the 9500. You probably don't notice them off that bat though. Not to say the 7500 isn't good, but there are differences. I'd rather have full use of carbon in the outsole and boot, compared to PVC in the 7500. Just one of the small differences that makes it better.
