Just got a shaft

Recommended Posts

I have the same shaft with a stiff flex. I've been using it for about one and a half years and its my favourite stick. I find the flex perfect for me and the stick is durable. It will accept any standard blades. I have a TPS Omega in it right now.

Even though its not a grip shaft, it does have some texture making it easy to use compared with super smooth sticks.

I have two of these. It's light as hell and I love the whippy flex. They've lasted about 2 years so far, with no signs of slowing down.

I don't think they are very popular though. Not too many people use them where I play.

It is the standard Redlight. weighs 285g, great shaft really durable, has no grip but is not completly slippery either.

The "new" RedLight is the xn10 (because it contains xn10 carbon) which is way more unreliable (snapped 2 in 3 weeks during slapshots), while the original redlight (depicted) was a tank for me (snapped after 2 years of use because a goalie landed on it with all his weight during a deke.

Had an empty net after that, but only half of my stick remaining <_< The entire rink were laughing their butts off

Yeah that was an awesome shaft. I have 4 of the XN 10 Red Lites that have held up for over a year. Knock on wood. It's too bad that they discontinued it for '06.

If on sale i will have to pick up a xn 10 sounds like one hel of a shaft, but am i reading right when i see 250 grams? With a normal blade that must make it so uneven!

That's right, the XN 10 is 250 grams. It does feel blade heavy and I use wood blades, but it's not that bad. I use the Bauer 6000s and Easton Modos. It definitely feels as light as a OPS.

Yep, there are the same, and are the shafts I compare all others too because they are such a nice overall combination of weight, feel and performance/durabillity.
