Old Titan Blade - Forsberg

Recommended Posts

First off. Great site guys. Was looking for info on blade patterns and was directed here. Tons of good info.

Second. I've been using Koho Crossovers for years...bought a bunch a few years ago. The pattern printed on the blade is Jagr, which is (I believe) a big, open heel curve, at least for the Crossver.

I'm a defensman and have a fairly decent shot from the point, but have a tendency to get the puck up too high, much to the chagrine of my own forwards. Anyway, broke my last Crossover last week and popped in an old Titan 7000 blade - Forsberg Pattern. Too my suprise, I was able to control my shots and my passing was more accurate. Does anyone know if the Titan pattern is consistent with the current Forsberg patterns out there?

Thanks in advance.

In Europe the old Titan Forsberg curve is continued as the Jofa TS12 pattern...not sure about Canada/America, though.

I would imagine not since Jofa is a different manufacturer and the new Easton Forsberg pattern is last season's Modano pattern.

I had one of those kicking around my basement until only a few months ago.

One of the best wood sticks I've ever used. The pattern was a moderate mid curve, with medium loft at the toe. The blade was rounded and had a narrower, shaved down paddle.

The closest retail pattern right now would probably be the TPS Nash. The Sakic not as close, as it is more mid, whereas the Nash is more mid-toe.
