Funny i see it the other way around auld is stepping it up and the canucks big d are stepping down...as much of an ohlund fan i am he has not played good lately, and salo has been un-noticable. The leafs are in a good place, in the future with 2 great young goalies...meaning they have room to dump belfour make tellquist the starter than bring up pogge or raask as a back up, then continuing to develope one of the younger goalies in the minors or even trading one away.

You don't bring up a young goalie to be a backup. You let him play in the minors or juniors to get as many games as possible. You only bring them up when they're ready to start or you have a couple that can't go back to junior.

Neither are eligible to be brought up this season. Pogge will likely make the jump next season (I'm hoping to the Marlies), while Rask may stay in Finland, or he may come over. They've got an alright, young, back-up in the farm system and Aubin, who has started in the NHL for Pittsburg, down there as the starter. Belfour's played back to back games, and I think the next string will make or break him. If he's hot, he'll stay, a bad game or two and he'll be out if they can find someone who wants'em.
