My new Protechsport Mask and Sher-wood C10 Pads

Damn right it was a good week!

My new C10s and my new Protechsport

Protechsport Mask:

I got the full Kevlar Roy Model Protechsport custom molded to my head. The fit is fantastic and it's LIGHT AS HELL! I don't think I'm going to need a neckguard on it either. The chin comes down and covers my whole throat.

I also got a Pro Cheater cage with it. This Pro Cheater cage is definitely different from the ones found on Sportmasks site. The space between the eyes is definitely bigger and the sight lines seem better.

Now I just got to get the paint design finalized and to Doug at Weaselhead.

This baby was definitely worth every penny. Thanks Michel!

Sher-wood C10 Pads:

Well my new custom Sher-wood C10s finally arrived today. They are freakin' HUGE! My old pads were 36" so I opted to get 36+1"s. Let me tell you these things are more like +2"s. They are absolute MONSTERS! Hopefully I'll be able to adjust to the size difference. The pads themselves are gorgeous! Apparently even Roddy at Goalies Crease thought so as he was about to nab them for himself before realizing they were a custom order. Sorry Rod! hehehe

Mods:

* +1 thigh rise

* squared thigh rise

* quick snap buckles opposed to the all leather

* added knee lifts

* custom "Koho style" thighboards

* extra length on the top straps

Only complaints so far is I ordered black weave on silver weave and they gave me black on silver weave. Not that big a deal or anything. Everything else seems spot on and made to my specifics. Jim at Goalies Crease was awesome to deal with. He kept me up to date and gave me a steal on these babies. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the future... just be sure to keep Roddy away from your stuff or you may never see it. HAHAHA ;)

how come the c10s have buckels on then i never knew pads that good had buckels most high end pads have straps and why do most of them have the first two straps as buckels ex(epics) all the same nice pads!

Yeah they are SUPER thin! That's what makes them so light... like 4.25 lbs. They're the lightest pads on the market.

They have the quickbuckles because I got them added as a special mod. Their stock C10s come with leather straps. I like quickbuckles because they are faster to put on and take off, you can maintain a constant perfect fit with them because the strapping never changes, and because they make the pad even lighter (nylon and plastic is obviously lighter then leather and metal). Leather straps/Quickbuckles really have no difference or say on how "high end" a pad is. It's all personal preference.
