I ordered because Marc lives 10 minutes from me and I was able to demo the gear and fell immediately in love with it. Right now I am using Battram Cyclone Pads, Beast and Smith Gloves and a Supreme Pro Blocker. One of the great things is that my new stuff will match my Smith glove if I keep it, we'll see.

Marc was great to deal with and what can I say, that stuff is so light and so quality that I could not resist ordering a set. My set is Royal Blue Weave and White Weave. The glove and blocker are NHL pro spec and the glove has a pro palm cos I have a couple guys that I play against who play D1 and have cannons.

Anyway, anyone looking for any new equipment I seriously suggest looking into Vortek because ever since I met Marc and demoed the pads they have been great and their stuff is great too.

I am going to pick up an uncrested goalie cut Leafs 3rd Jersey to wear in open hockey and such. The Leafs are my #2 team anyway.

We wear Bridgeport Sound TIgers jerseys crested with the Lion in my Avatar so I was looking at White/Yellow, White/Royal, or White/Silver

Yeah the Vorteks seem like a very nice pad! They are extremely light as well. Not as light as my C10s, but definitely the closest I've seen. Mine are about 4.25lbs and I'd say the Vorteks are 4.5-4.75 lbs. I'm actually supposed to be getting the demo pads off Marc to review. Unfortunately I just got my C10s so I'm going to be playing with them like a lil kid with a new toy for a while.
