Pant Velcro

Hey guys, I just gots some 4000s a couple of weeks ago and i keep the zippers closed and the velcro straps that keep them closed at the ends catch on the inside of my pants and the material is starting to pill and fray. Any of you guys have this problem? how do you get rid of it?

That started to happen on my M1s and I just cut off the velcro tabs.

I take it you don't have any problems with the zippers coming undone?

No, the zipper pulls flopped around a little bit but that's about all.
