Guys playing outdoors i can stick handle with the best of them. When playing indoors I turn into a stickhandling geek same guys in and out but i can't get around myself indoors. The only difference i can come to is the helmet and mask, i don't wear one outside,i wear a full face cat eye style mask, tried one of the eyetec half plastic half cage, really didn't like the feel. The difference is so extreme my friends even comment on it. Any ideas, be it a different style mask or anything, I would be greatfull. thanks

Slower ice outdoors -- makes it easier

I would think that it is the ice. The Ice outside is normally rough and choppy, which makes it slower. Indoor ice is always smooth and fast.

Your helmet and shield/cage should not effect your hands.

Are you just playing pond hockey outdoors with stick, gloves and skates? And are you playing indoors with full gear? If that's the case, then it's probably your gear and extra bulk on your arms you're not used to. But most likely it's the ice.
