ccm vector v130 shaft/blade

Recommended Posts

how come i never hear anything regarding the v130 in general? last time i checked, you can get it at lots of online places. my old v110 ops seems to be holding up well. id guess that the 120's and 130's are at the very least decent. i also saw alot of them in pics of olympics (especially ao). also, anyone know some comparisons of ccm's flexes in int (hockeygiant says theres a light and mid flex in int, i dont know any other) ebay turned up one in senior, can anyone help out a clueless person?

They had alot of issues getting the V130 out for retail. The first run had alot of problems, and they were taken off the shelves in alot of stores. From there CCM sent back V120 sticks instead, and planned to send back V130 once they were ready. Since then I haven't really seen many V130 OPS, and have yet to see the blades or shafts. Since they are releasing a new line of sticks and shafts, there isn't alot of info about these. Vectors have always been great for durability, but lacking in other areas, since the V130 didn't have great durability to start, it took away alot of the interest.

I've been using a V130 OPS for a couple weeks now, and i can honestly say its one of hte sweetest shooting sticks i've ever used, and i've used a few. There are some potential durability issues, as i've already noticed some chipping on the very top edge of the blade, but nothing structural yet.

I also have a Vector 10.0 taptered shaft, which is replacing hte 130. It is quite simply the best shaft i've ever used. I am a believer in CCM sticks and shafts after using these two.

if my OPS breaks, i will seriously consider looking into a Vector 10.0 to replace it.

I actually got it from a fellow member of MSH on a trade. I don't know how he originally came by it, but i'm glad he did, and more importantly, glad he didn't like it. I love it.

I don't actually think they're selling retail yet, but i could be wrong. It is a retail version, with full warrantly though.

My RBK and CCM V110 gave me a bad shot. I dunno. Felt like alot of torqueing going in. Seemd liked when I made contact with the puck, the shaft just had a weird release and my shots never went where I wanted, or just fluttered. Both sticks are R flex. Maybe I needed something flexy? I dunno. Not my cup of tea. That feel with those sticks made me stray from the 130, but I do see alot of pros using it, so something must be right.

If not for the cheap stickers and lack of patterns and flexes I am sure there would be more talk, I know it would be high on my potential list if you could get an 85ish flex with a Modano or Sakic curve without having to order online.

Ya thats actually why i traded away the shaft -- to stiff for me -- needed a 85 flex to it. But ya the shaft for the short time i had it was excellent - hard to part with it.

I am happy to see a fellow MSH member using it -- and luving it ;)

They're clearing them out at the pro shop at the arena i play at for so cheap. I think they're under 200 CAD which is cheap considering they sell everywhere for 300.

I think it was from hockey2.com, but my brother got the shaft for like $90 which was about 33% off from most other places. I think he's gone on to something else if that says anything.

sorry to hijack, but is there any difference between the intermediate and senior ccm shafts besides flex and length?

I use a broken ops vector 130 as a shft for roller. Consistent but not the most responsive. Love the grip, its a keeper for the arsenal
