My girdle that I have now is to small and I plan to go back to pants.Im wondering if this is a good mobile and protective pant?

They're a little stiff at first but they break in. I would also say they're a lot more protective than mobile, but they shouldn't prevent you from skating.

Im going to have the zippers open so that will cut down on the stiffness right?I was also looking at the CCM 892 Pants

actually, leaving the zippers closed will help them break in faster. Either way, cut off the velcro tabs that go over the zippers.
