reason I quit reffing was someone doing that and hit the other ref. It's too bad to see it happens with people who are getting paid to play, I thought it was bad with grown men who get frustrated for not feeling like they get their money's worth.

I've watched quite a few of the Lightning's games this year and this kid has given out quite a few cheap shots. Early in the season, after doing one of his cheap shots, the announcers were talking about how Fedotenko needs to sit the rookie down and explain to him how things are done here in the NHL. Looks like he still needs to be talked to.

This reminds me of the old "Raider" rule that the NFL had to implement due to Lyle Alzado taking the opposing players helmet and trying to smack him with it. The NFL had to actually put that rule in the rulebook.

I was watching that game last night and saw it happen. Just a dumb penalty to take. The linesmen had already come over to break things up, when Artyukhin grab the guys helmet and hit him. The ref was like 5 feet away. Just plain stupid.

Tucker got in trouble for hitting someone with a helmet (Janssen) earlier in the year. Tuck used his helmet more like brass knucles than like a purse though.
