Hockey Shops near Allentown PA

Hi Guys,

I am new here, so pardon me if this is in the wrong forum.

I am writing from Singapore and i play hockey here in singapore too. but beleive it or not, there are no shops here that service us in terms of equipment and gear purchase.

My folks are in Allentown and are trying to help me locate hockeyshops around the area so that i can arrange to pick up a pair of Bauer 8090s.

Any idea if there are any shops around the area?

There is a flyers skate zone in the Bethlehem rink and you're not far from Philadelphia where there are a number of rinks and shops.

Chadd where are you from? I live in Bethlehem like 5 miles from the Skatezone. Roofies don't go there they have nothing. Go to Hockey Heaven in Colmar, PA off of Rt. 309. They have two floors of hockey equipment and a mni rink for lessons. Best place for anything in the area.

Yeah, Hockeyheaven is the place to go. Right now SZ Bethlehem is really bad. I only get my skates sharpened there.

apparently, my folks tried contacting every possible sporting goods and hockey shop around the area and the closest they got to a 8090 was a baur vapor going for US89.99.

I just gave them Hockey Heaven's contact details, lets hope something turns up.

managed to contact Hockey Heaven, but unfortunately, they do not have the 8090s in my size and a special order would cost too much.

Any other shops near PA i could check out?

If not i might have to resort to an online purchase. -(

There are a ton of pro shops in the rinks I play at. One rink that is big and has a large pro shop is Twin Ponds West (May be the East one aslo). This proshop I believe was really big and had those new Stealths and Synergy 300s way before anyone else and that is the only store I have seen them at. Also there is one pro shop around that's one hour away, like most rinks, and they had areally nice pro shop also. I don't know the rink, but someone should know it. They have about 4 rinks, the Jr. Flyers player there, there's one long hall just filled with trophies, and I think the Quakers play there.

Just have your parents call all different rinks around the area. There are a ton of pro shops all in an hour radius to Allentown.

That's Ice Line in West Chester. I was just there Tuesday and they have no 8090's at all.

If you're willing to come that far, Ice Works in Aston had some 8090's when I was there last Saturday. They are about 25 minutes south of Ice Line. No idea what sizes they have but I know that the largest size they had was 9.5 when I checked about a month ago. Give them a call. 610-497-2200.

whbd18...ya, i have tried the 8090s, a few of the guys in my team use them and i have had a chance to try a couple in sizes close to mine. they feel just fine though and they are tough too. =)
