Swedish Elite League possibly on Canadian TV

They said today on national Swedish radio that there are negotiations about possibly broadcasting games from the Swedish Elite League on an undisclosed Canadian TV network next season. They said there's talk about broadcasting one game from each round, but they didn't say if this will be the case only if there's a lockout or not, just that there's an interest in Canada to broadcast games from Sweden. Thought this might be of interest to our Canadian friends out there. :)

Sounds like a neat idea. It will open up eyes to the lager ice surface for sure. Does the Swedish Elite League use a red line or not?

No, they don't use the red line, it's the same rules as in the Olympics and World Championships (IIHF rules). Well, physically the line is still painted there though, as it's used for icing, but that's the only thing it's being used for.
