killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 I've got about 3 months use on my TPS HGT's and they are still really really stiff. I've been putting about 5 hours a week on them. I've only had leather gloves in the past so.....are these things gonna loosen up or do the HGT's just stay kinda stiff and snug like this?I tried a guy's x50's today.....apparently those are portofino too, but damn were they buttery soft......do the 70's break in like that too? I noticed that they have an "L" leather series of gloves....are those the only ones available in leather? These ones today felt broken in like leather, but apparently they were portofino based off of the eagle catalogs. Are the 70's just a looser fit than the x50's? Thanks! killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 Weight wise I know knit is the lightest, but what is next lightest? I dont play more than three or four days a week so I'm not too worried about the dry out advantage of knit. Is the cowhide quite a bit heavier than the portofino? Thanks! cause4alarm 7 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 I've never seen HGTs before but I noticed that they were on this site's awards list and a few people said they were their favorite model gloves. They're sort of hard to find now too. What's so special about them? Also, can you clue me in as to the difference in the quality of all these different palm materials?
