S500 carbon Question.

Recommended Posts

hey guys, I got a pair of S500 carbons and just about got them broken in and they felt great!

until i looked at them and it looks as if the sole is seperating from the boot at the toe cap. has this happenned to anyone else? is there anything i can do to fix them?

Thanks

Ash

On my Tour Code 1's the outsole had split around one of the small rivets under the toecap and was seperated. I used two part epoxy to reattach it to the toe. So far it has held up well.

simliar has happened to my tour fishbones after 2 years of usage, never got around to epoxying them as i have 2 more brand new pairs waiting for me to go through before getting new blades.

I have noticed this separation in some ice boot to roller conversions. I beleive the outsoles in ice boots are not designed to handle the rigors of roller and the weight of a chassis and wheels.

FYI - all separations have taken place exactly where you mentioned.

I noticed that my Fuels are starting to do the same thing. I've never had a problem with either pair of S500, but my Fuels are already starting to pull apart.
