bauer 4000 helmet quetion

In order to put a cage on a 4000 do you need to buy the combo then tkae that cage off and put what you want on it. I bought the non combo and do not know where the side straps buckle.

You can use almost any cage on the 4000. If you’re buying a cage separately, it should come with screws with button heads. They need to be screwed in the holes behind the ears for the straps to fasten to. You can also get helmet hardware at your LHS if need be.

so if you buy just the helmet you should be able to put a cage onto it. correct?

Yea, you should be fine. If your helmet didnt come with of the button screws then the cage will. Like Miserable said, you just screw those button screws in behind your ears so the straps have something to snap onto. Then screw the cage in at the top above your eyebrows and your set.
