Mini Bearings - Worth it?

Recommended Posts

I just bought a pair of Mission 9500's and they come with Mission Swiss Micro (688). I didnt particularly like the Rink Rat Wheels. So I was thinking about switching back to my old Labeda Dynasties with 608 bearings.

My other option is to buy Labeda Genesis wheels, hoping they are as good as the Dynasties. ARE MICRO BEARINGS THAT MUCH BETTER THAN NORMAL ONES? I wouldnt want to buy another set of expensive wheels for them, unless they are ALOT better. Can you really tell a difference?

I have 608 Swiss Bones Bearings in my Dynasties, which spin pretty fast.

Thanks!

haha well I played on a pretty dirty Sport court rink... and I slipped like crazy... they were brand new though.. probably takes some time to get used to. I noticed the MB816s have a 76A outer core too. Im used to Xsoft Dynasties which im pretty sure are 74A... no slippage at all!

Rink rats balance out to like a 70A with their "soft inner core". If you like the Dynasties, stick with them, just get the proper adaptors to make them fit nicely into the skates.

Yah, they slip the first couple times, but its smooth sailing after that B)

But I agree with EZ, go with whatever you like the best

Ill give them some time to break in. I guess you can only expect so much with brand new skates and brand new wheels. I was in a game too, so I definitely got frustrated with the new boot. Im so used to perfection with my old Proto VSi 's and dynasties. It's too bad the boot completely caved in!!

dont forget some rink rats have that finish on the exterior that isnt completely washed off before they send em out...give em another skate or two and if you dont like them....sell em to me...thanks.

I have had nothing but problems with micro bearings... I shattered, cracked or warped at least 4 or 5 of them in about two seasons of use... add the fact that it's usually more difficult to find wheels for them and I"ve given up completely on using them.
