Something to put along the bottom of blades

Im looking for some type of glue or gel type thing to spread along the bottom of my composite blades to stop cracks appearing. Does anyone reccomend anything that is very very resistant bearing in mind most things would simply crack off on the wooden floors i play on? (I put the topic in here because it will get more replies than in the roller section)

a strip of duct tape does the trick for me

before I tape up my stick i lay 2 layers of sock tape on the bottom of my blade, usually if i don't take too many slapshots it will last through the whole ice time keeping my blade from tearing up on rough ice, made the easton blade i had on my zbubble last 2 seasons before finally snapping in half...
