Protectoe on 7000s

I have a pair of 7000s and I was just wondering if anyone strongly recommends protectoe for them. The material seems pretty strong, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any past experiences where the toe just wore out on normal wear and tear.

I have seen some toe caps on the 7000's get pretty worn. I used a thin coating of Protectoe on my 7000's and they held up good.

I'm on my second pair of 7000's and the toe caps are fine. This pair is about 4 years old.
