BushLeagueDangler08 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 I have a pair of 1300c (sz.8) and I love the way they fit but I hate the steel on the holders and I feel like im leaning forward too much. Im used to wearing Graf Supra 703's. The 1300c's fit tighter than the Grafs so I don't know if that could be the reason why I feel im leaning forward? Anyways, Im wondering if I put a pair of Cobras on the 1300c's if it would give them a feel on the ice more like the Grafs. Also would I maybe need to get them contoured to get rid of that forward lean?(or would the Cobras get rid of that lean?) Thanks for the help!*edit* size error
Keith 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 The cobras would make you feel even more forward.

I dont feel like im leaning forward on my cobras right now...so do you think putting them on the 1300s will make the 1300s feel the same as the grafs? flip12 720 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 Weird thing about Cobras: I know that they have that forward lean, but I skated in 705s for three years and once I got second-nature used to them, they didn't feel forward leaning. In fact, I felt like I was skating with my weight on my heels, or just on the back half of the blade and it was awesome. Now that I don't skate as much (no longer skating at least 5x per week like I was in HS) I can't get them to wrap around my foot and sink my heel into the stretchiness of wet leather, I feel way too forward. So I think I know what you mean about not feeling like you're on your toes too much on Cobras, only why it feels quite like that is somewhat a mystery to me still. Do you think if I put the cobras on the 1300s then the 1300's will feel more like the Grafs?
flip12 720 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 I have no idea: I've never had a cobra on any other kind of skate and I've never tried Eastons out. I thought about putting cobras on my new Mission s400s but I figured with a pitch holder I could find the best possible position. I don't know how right it is, but it may have something to do with the way that a graf skate will suck your heel in that it feels perfect with the forward balance of a cobra holder. The Easton skate may or may not fit that way.
BushLeagueDangler08 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 anyone else have an opinion on how theyd feel if they switched holders? Also I've heard good things about this Pitch holder, if i bought this holder would I be able to set it so my 1300s feel like grafs?
