I own a vapor VI stick with 87 flex and it feels too stiff for me. I am thinking of getting a 77 flex VI or an 87 flex XX. Will the 87 XX be whippier than the 87 VI?

No,if anything the XX is stiffer,than the VI.

So the 77 flex in XX is in intermediate. How much smaller is the shaft? I can only find 77 flex senior in XXX and VIII

I would just buy a Vapor XXX in a 77 flex. Hockeygiant has the XXXs on sale for $109 which is less then the price of a Vapor XX at a lot of stores.
