mrusse01 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2006 If anyone makes it out this week let me know what the turnout is like, its sort of a long drive for me, but I'll go for sure if there isnt too many/too few guys. I usually go to Icelands in Mississauga a few times a week, they have shinny there from 12:00 - 2:00pm everyday, usually lasts longer than that. Costs only $7.50 but you can usually get away without paying cause they aren't too strict. Another sweet place is University of Guelph (I assume most Universities have some kind of shinny available), where they have shinny everyday during the week throughout the school year, 2 hours for only $3. Fairly high quality as well.

mrusse01 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 $7.50, but like I said, you don't really have to pay
gavin 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 Usually with things like that, if enough people "really don't have to pay" then the opportunity usually goes away. So, as a general rule, always pay when you play, it helps the community of hockey lovers out by keeping drop in and shinny programs up and running. Just a friendly reminder. HeatleyRules 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2006 has anyone gone to this? i want to know if it's any good because im looking for some shinny during the week. thanks.
shnuggs 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2006 Ya i went 3 times in the last 2 months --- location has changed to the Pavilion (Dufferin - just north of Center Street) ice is way better then the ice gardens. Also dont think its every night anymore -- think its 3-4 times a week. When i went there were usuall about 15-18 people show up. The hockey is mostly begginer type -- shinny type hockey--- tad slow. Still --- anytime u can get out on the ice and play hockey is fun for me.
