Hows HockeyMonkeys return policy!?

Recommended Posts

I bought a size 7.5 8090 and the length fits fine how ever I dont think my foot is full enough to fit this boot. I think I may have goofed and got a skate to wide for me. The skates tighten up pretty good when I crank the laces tight but wont the skate just get loser as it breaks in?

Also my foot isnt sliding around in the skate it just feels roomy around the toebox area.Like there is more over head space than im used to

should I just get them sharpened and try them out or have them returned?

Do you think adding insoles would help?

They obviously dont fit. I would return them. Im guessing you have a narrow foot, because the 8090 are geared towards wider feet.

Just dont buy skates online,it s that simple. It will save you money in the long run if you buy from your lhs.

Regarding the return policy, it sucks. Since you've already bought the skates, you might as well count your losses and just sell the skates. You'll lose LESS money that way.

I've had good luck with hockeymonkey. Don't sharpen them if you plan on returning them or they will not take them. They only charge you a restocking fee if you return them, if you exchange them there is no additional cost. They also offer an express exchange. For about $5.00 or $10.00 more they will send you out the replacement item immediately and you send the original item back normally.

I got my 9k's from them (LHS didn't carry them) and I had to exchange them for a wider skate, did the express and got them back quick. I also buy alot of our gear from them (LHS doesn't carry CCM/RBK). Always had great service and quick delivery.

wide toebox rocks, just make sure the skates fit at the heel and midfoot.

I agree.. I never liked my toes touching any part of the toe box if I can help it.
